Travel Nursing Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 2, 2025
• End Date: December 2, 2025
• Healthcare Setting: Short-term acute care, teaching hospital
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Floating: Required within scope to similar medical-surgical and telemetry units
• Charting System: Epic (Epic EMR experience required)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020-$2080

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand at submission)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
• Epic charting experience required
• Strong telemetry nursing skills
• ACLS certification preferred
• Ability to manage patient ratios of 6:1 (nights), with occasional stretches to 7:1
• Not accepting local candidates within 75 miles of Rochester, NY

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, manage dysrhythmias, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
• Administer medications, manage IVs, central lines, and PICC lines
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV therapy, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, and pharmacy
• Utilize Epic EMR for all charting and documentation
• Float to similar medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed, within scope of practice
• Participate in patient education, discharge planning, and support activities of daily living
• Adhere to infection control, isolation precautions, and hospital protocols
