Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $2320 per week.

Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 36 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a New York license (required for submission).

• This role will require floating to multiple units

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <50 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• 12 months gap required between for Staff at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Part-Time at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

• 12 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: Centralus Health (Direct) and no current placement allowed at Program: Centralus Health (Direct).

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: Ability to read basic rhythm strips prior to arrival at the facility.

Unit Details: High-acuity, fast-paced medical-surgical/telemetry unit specializing in acute stroke and complex telemetry patients. Uses primary and team nursing. Frequent neurological assessments, including NIH Stroke Scale. Telemetry rhythm monitoring and interpretation with real-time response to changes. Stroke core measure compliance, including dysphagia screening, education, and care plans. Uses BCMA for medication administration. High-turnover environment with admissions, discharges, and patient flow management.

Special Requests: We cannot consider travelers employed (FT, PT, or per diem) by Cayuga Health or its affiliate, Schuyler Hospital, within the past 12 months.

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 3 years
