Job Summary
The Brearley School, an independent girls’ school serving over 700 students K-XII, seeks candidates for a maternity leave replacement Teacher of English in the sixth, ninth and eleventh grades. We actively seek to create, nurture and sustain a diverse faculty and student body. An advanced degree in English and experience in teaching secondary school is preferred. Texts include King Lear, sonnets, Greek mythology, Ovid’s Metamorphoses, The Odyssey, and Their Eyes Were Watching God.
