Clinical Supervisor

The Trust Center is a leading drug and alcohol outpatient rehabilitation program dedicated to supporting clients in their recovery journey from substance abuse. We pride ourselves on our compassionate approach and commitment to excellence in care. The Clinical Supervisor plays a vital role in our team, providing direct supervision to staff and offering counseling and guidance to clients. This position is crucial in ensuring staff training, program service development, and maintaining high standards of care. The Clinical Supervisor also supports the Program Director in the overall operation of the program, taking a leadership role in their absence.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the treatment program and provide clinical and administrative support to staff.
  • Coordinate patient care plans and optimize treatments in collaboration with the treatment team and other professionals.
  • Train and evaluate the clinical team to ensure service quality and compliance with clinical documentation.
  • Maintain a caseload, facilitate groups, complete intake assessments, and lead case presentations.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all client information as required by law.
  • Remain accessible after scheduled hours to address emergencies and respond to supervisees’ needs.
  • Stay current with DOH and OASAS regulations and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare statistical reports and correspondence as required for county and state.
  • Market program services to local community groups and organizations.
  • Participate in Utilization Review and monitor staff productivity, identifying solutions to potential problems.
  • Update the Senior Director on program issues, especially in the director’s absence.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and make recommendations regarding time-off requests.
  • Attend meetings and serve on committees as requested, representing the agency with a positive attitude.
  • Maintain all applicable licenses and credentials.

Qualifications

  • Advanced CASAC and/or QHP licensed by NY State Dept of Education.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in the treatment of substance use disorder.
  • Completion of OASAS Training Clinical Foundations of Supervision I & II.
  • Knowledge of OASAS Part 822 Regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarity with NA/AA philosophies, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral approaches.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in internet navigation and Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong knowledge of program quality assurance and outcome-based practices.
