Position Summary
Defense Holdings, Inc. (DHi) is seeking a proactive Workforce Support Specialist to provide HR and operational support for workforce initiatives. The ideal candidate will assist with employee communications, HR program implementation, and general workforce support tasks.
This role requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple workforce initiatives in a government contracting environment.
Key Responsibilities
Workforce Coordination
Assist with employee lifecycle processes including onboarding, transfers, and separations.
Support employee communication programs and workforce updates.
Track workforce metrics and assist HR with reporting.
Administrative Support
Maintain accurate workforce records in HRIS systems.
Assist with documentation for compliance and regulatory reporting.
Prepare reports and presentations for HR leadership.
Compliance & Reporting
Support audits and compliance initiatives.
Ensure workforce documentation meets internal and external standards.
Assist HR leadership in tracking training and certifications.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with HR, payroll, and operations teams to support workforce programs.
Assist leadership in improving processes related to employee services.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2–4 years of experience in HR coordination or workforce support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
Ability to handle confidential employee information responsibly.
Preferred Qualifications
HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
Experience supporting workforce programs in government contracting environments.
