Data & Business Specialist/Head Start

As a Data & Business Specialist for our Head Start program, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of program activities by managing data, supporting reporting processes, and assisting with essential business functions. This position offers the opportunity to work collaboratively with a passionate team committed to making a difference in the lives of children and families in our service area.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and completion of various program reports to support Head Start operations.
• Enter and maintain accurate data in program databases and tracking systems.
• Oversee the purchasing and inventory of program supplies to ensure timely availability.
• Collaborate with the Head Start management team to address program needs and support ongoing initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and program participants from diverse backgrounds.
• Utilize computer applications, including Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office tools, as well as office equipment such as copiers, scanners, and fax machines.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in human services, social work, psychology, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a related area.
• Experience working with database systems, tracking systems, and virtual platforms.
• Strong organizational skills and competent math abilities.
• Effective communication and language skills to comprehend and produce documents and correspondence.
• Ability to interact professionally with individuals from various backgrounds and levels of management.
• Capability to exercise independent judgment as needed and apply common sense understanding to carry out written and oral instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel within the service area.

Compensation

$18.60 – $22.00 per hour
