Application Developer - Java & Web Technologies

CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Java & Web Technologies position for our client.

Location: New York, NY

Duration: 12 months

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and support Java/JEE enterprise applications.

• Build web apps using Java frameworks and languages like Ruby or Groovy.

• Implement transaction management, batch processing, and system integrations.

• Apply principles like dependency injection, AOP, functional programming, and TDD.

• Collaborate on DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.

Required Skills:

• Programming: Java, TypeScript, Python

• Databases: MySQL, MariaDB, Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka

• DevOps/Infra: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, Ansible, Helm

• CI/CD & Monitoring: GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, Grafana, Datadog

Experience & Education:

• Strong background in enterprise Java/web development and DevOps tools.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.

Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
