Location: New York
Shift: Night (3x12-Hour: 19:00 - 07:00)
Start Date: September 2, 2025
Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
Local Candidates: Not accepted; must reside over 75 miles from the facility

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced MICU Registered Nurse to join our team in New York. This role requires a New York state nursing license held in hand, with no exceptions. The MICU unit comprises 16 beds, providing critical care to patients dealing with conditions such as sepsis, ARDS, renal failure, heart failure, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality patient care to critical patients with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2, occasionally 1:1 based on acuity.
• Manage complex medical issues including alcohol withdrawal, overdose, multi-organ failure, post-cardiac arrest care, and targeted temperature management.
• Operate advanced medical equipment like CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, and Impella.
• Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, utilizing the EPIC charting system.

Requirements:

• Must possess a valid New York state nursing license.
• A minimum of one year of experience in ICU or MICU settings.
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
• Experience with the EPIC charting system is a hard requirement.
• Willingness to float between units as necessary.
• Must be able to complete modules prior to the start date (up to 10 hours total).

Additional Qualifications:

• Candidates with foreign education must provide verification.
• Candidates within a 75-mile radius of the facility will not be accepted.
