How to Apply

IMPORTANT: To be considered, you MUST apply at solette.com/join-solette. Applications submitted through Culinary Agents will not be reviewed. We only accept applications through our own form at solette.com/join-solette — this is the only way to be considered.

About Solette

Solette is a modern marketplace connecting NYC families with trusted in-home chefs for weekly meal prep, dinner parties, and special occasions. We handle the logistics — bookings, payments, grocery costs, client communication — so you can focus on cooking.

The Work

You'll cook for families in their homes, typically 2–3 hours per service:

• Grocery shop on the Solette company card (never front your own money)
• Prepare 3–4 family-style meals in the client's kitchen
• Package and label for the week ahead
• Coordinate menus and dietary needs directly with your clients

Most chefs work with recurring clients, so once you click with a family, that's a standing weekly booking.

• Your phone number stays yours. All client calls and texts route through Solette, so you can be fully responsive without giving out personal contact info.

Who Thrives Here

• Experienced cooks or professional chefs — culinary school, restaurant experience, or a strong track record cooking privately
• Comfortable in home kitchens and confident adapting on the fly
• Solid grasp of common dietary needs (vegetarian, GF, keto, allergies) and family-friendly cooking
• Warm, organized, and reliable with clients
• ServSafe certified (or equivalent)
• NYC-based, available at least 3 days per week
