Our client, a leading A rated Insurance Carrier, is seeking an experienced New Jersey Workers' Compensation Claims Examiner to join their team. This is a fully remote, temp-to-hire opportunity for a motivated claims professional with experience handling New Jersey workers' compensation claims from inception through resolution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of New Jersey workers' compensation laws, prior Guidewire experience, excellent investigative and analytical skills, and the ability to effectively manage a caseload while providing exceptional service to all parties involved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling a pending of 100 - 120 medical only and lost time New Jersey workers’ compensation files from inception through closure
- Average less than 5 new losses per week
- Conduct thorough investigations, assess compensability, and establish appropriate reserves
- Manage claim strategy, authorize payments, and negotiate settlements within authority limits
- Ensure compliance with applicable New Jersey regulations and company best practices
- Maintain ongoing communication with claimants, employers, attorneys, and medical providers
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience handling New Jersey Workers’ Compensation claims
- Previous experience with a TPA or insurance carrier required
- Previous Guidewire software experience strongly preferred
- Ability to independently manage a caseload of moderate to complex claims
- Strong analytical, organizational, and negotiation skills
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Compensation & Benefits:
- $35.00 – $45.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term career potential
