Overview

Bassett Healthcare Network , a progressive academic healthcare system in central New York and a major teaching affiliate of Columbia University, is seeking a full-time Infectious Disease Physician.

Description

Bassett Healthcare Network is an integrated health care system that provides care and service to people living in an eight-county region covering 5,600 square miles in Central New York. The organization includes five corporately affiliated hospitals, two skilled nursing facilities, over forty community-based and school-based health centers, and health partners in related fields.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

1. Join an established group of 3 physicians
2. Inpatient and outpatient consults
3. Outpatient longitudinal HIV care
4. Infectious disease call by phone is 1:4
5. Opportunity to cover telehealth for non-affiliated hospitals
6. Opportunity to do clinical research, stewardship, and infection control
7. Moonlighting opportunities for inpatient internal medicine as a Hospitalist
8. With a faculty appointment from Columbia, there is daily interaction with medical students as well as internal medicine and transitional residents.
9. Fully integrated EPIC Electronic Medical Record
10. Salary range: $270,000 - $300,000. This compensation range represents Bassett Healthcare’s good faith belief of the compensation range at the time of this posting or advertisement. Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards
11. Bassett offers Physicians an incentive plan with no earnings cap. Individual performance and productivity can significantly enhance compensation with potential upside realized within the first year of employment.
12. Sign-on bonus up to $100,000
13. Group employed model

Job Qualifications :

1. MD, DO or MBBS
2. NY state licensure
3. BE/BC
4. BLS certification
