- Duration: 17 weeks
- Hours per Week: 36 or 48 (based on unit need)
- Shift: 12-hour shifts; Days, Evenings, Nights; includes weekends, holidays, and on-call as needed
- Shifts per week: 3
- Estimated weekly salary: $2200 - $2260
- Current and active RN license in New York State (required for New York nursing jobs)
- Minimum 2 years of recent orthopedic nursing experience
- Experience in a Level 1 trauma facility preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association only)
- ACLS certification
- Telemetry experience and ability to interpret telemetry data required
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Deliver high-quality patient care to individuals with orthopedic trauma, spinal surgery, and elective orthopedic diagnoses
- Monitor and interpret telemetry data to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with a supportive healthcare team to achieve optimal patient outcomes
- Engage in ongoing education and professional development within the orthopedic nursing specialty
- Provide nursing care during days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as required
- Demonstrate effective communication and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced clinical environment
