Job Title: Clerical Assistant

Location: New York, NY 10029

Duration: 14 Weeks (Contract)

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Weekly Hours: 40 Hours

Pay Rate: Up to $24/hour (Based on Experience)

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Clerical Assistant to support daily administrative and front-desk operations within a healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, accuracy in data entry, and a professional, patient-focused demeanor when interacting with clinical staff and the public.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general clerical duties including filing, data entry, reception coverage, and document indexing

• Schedule appointments, meetings, and coordinate calendars as needed

• Prepare and type correspondence, forms, and routine reports

• Operate standard office equipment such as computers, fax machines, scanners, and photocopiers

• Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity and confidentiality

• Communicate and collaborate effectively with nurses, physicians, and administrative staff

• Provide courteous, professional customer service to patients and visitors

• Support front-desk operations in a fast-paced healthcare setting

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of clerical or administrative experience

• Data entry speed of 50 keystrokes per minute

• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities

• Proven ability to multitask and prioritize workload in a busy environment

Education

• High School Diploma or GED required

• Prior medical office experience and familiarity with medical terminology preferred
