HD Service Dispatcher

Position: HD Service Dispatcher
Location: Bath, NY
Shift: Overnight | 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Schedule: Every-other-day with rotating weekends

General Job Description:

We are seeking a Dispatcher to manage inbound and outbound calls and coordinate roadside towing and wrecker services. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience and be comfortable working with multiple screens, programs, and multi-line phone systems. This role requires the ability to stay calm under pressure and handle high call volumes while dispatching towing and road service requests nationwide.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Receive emergency and non-emergency calls and accurately record all information.
• Enter data into internal systems and maintain detailed logs and records.
• Prioritize calls based on urgency and importance.
• Provide accurate estimated time of arrivals (ETAs).
• Determine the most appropriate driver/operator and truck for each call.
• Monitor driver routes and locations to coordinate schedules.
• Communicate all necessary details to drivers to complete service calls.
• Stay productive and proactive during downtime.
• Maintain composure under pressure.
• Perform fast, accurate typing and data entry.
• Handle billing for auto clubs (AAA, Agero, Gelco, and others).

Education & Training:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary education or related coursework preferred.

Knowledge & Experience:

• Dispatching experience preferred.
• Experience with multi-line phones and computer-based systems.
• Customer service background required.

Skills & Abilities:

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Consistent, professional attendance and punctuality.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Clear and friendly phone presence.
• Strong customer service and communication abilities.
• Ability to work in fast-paced and emergency situations.
• Effective multitasking and self-motivated teamwork.
