Financial Analyst (Interim) POST NUMBER: 483935
Location: Remote (EST hours required) or Hybrid (New York City preferred)
Compensation: $50–60/hour

Position Overview
Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Analyst to support the intersection of FP&A, Demand Planning, Supply Chain, and operational finance during an exciting period of growth. This individual will partner cross-functionally with Finance and Operations to enhance forecasting accuracy, improve planning processes, identify cost savings opportunities, and help build scalable infrastructure for the business.
A key focus of this role will be leveraging AI-enabled forecasting tools to automate manual processes and improve decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, operationally minded, and comfortable working in a fast-paced consumer products environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and demand planning initiatives.
- Develop, maintain, and enhance detailed bottom-up financial models and forecasts.
- Validate forecasting assumptions and continuously improve forecast accuracy.
- Partner closely with Operations, Planning, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Finance to improve cross-functional planning.
- Analyze inventory, demand trends, and operational metrics to support business decisions.
- Identify supply chain efficiencies and cost savings opportunities through financial analysis.
- Standardize reporting processes across multiple manufacturing and supply chain partners.
- Leverage AI tools (including Claude) to automate forecasting and reporting processes while identifying additional automation opportunities.
- Drive continuous process improvements that support scalability and future growth.
- 3–5 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, Financial Analysis, or a related finance function.
- Experience supporting both FP&A and Demand Planning.
- Background within consumer products, manufacturing, food & beverage, retail, or other inventory-intensive industries is required.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency with experience building and maintaining complex financial models.
- Ability to partner effectively with both Finance and Operations teams.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights to non-financial stakeholders.
- Experience utilizing AI tools to improve finance processes is highly preferred. Candidates should be enthusiastic about adopting new technologies and identifying automation opportunities.
- Exposure to inventory management and supply chain finance.
- Experience working with multiple manufacturing partners or complex inventory reporting environments.
- Demonstrated success improving financial processes and implementing scalable planning solutions.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted workflow automation, forecasting, or business planning tools.
- Fully remote candidates will be considered (must work Eastern Time business hours).
- Hybrid candidates based in the New York City area are preferred.
