Quality Inspector

We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing / upfit team. The job entails ensuring that our products meet all company and industry standards before they reach our customers. A sharp eye for detail will be crucial in upholding our reputation for excellence and preventing defects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to
  ensure they meet our company and industry standards quality standards.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
• Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, to verify dimensions.
• Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and performance records.
• Identify and isolate non-conforming products (defects) and report issues to the production and
  management teams.
• Collaborate with the Production and Engineering team to recommend improvements to the production process to enhance quality.

Background Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Proven experience as a quality inspector or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
• Strong ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.
• Proficient in the use of various measuring tools and equipment.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
• Knowledge of ISO9001 is a plus but not required.
• A certification in quality control, such as an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification, is
  a plus but not required.
