Mechanical Assembler

As a Mechanical Assembler, you will build, fit, and test complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies according to strict aerospace standards. This role requires the ability to interpret advanced blueprints, utilize precision measuring tools, and work with tight tolerances where a fraction of a millimeter makes all the difference.

salary: $20 - $27 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 9 AM - 5 PM

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex aerospace mechanical components, sub-assemblies, and systems using hand, power, and pneumatic tools.

• Read and meticulously follow blueprints, engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

• Perform precision fitting, shimming, riveting, and torqueing of parts to exact aerospace specifications.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and torque wrenches) to verify part dimensions and tolerances.

• Apply aerospace-grade adhesives, sealants, and lubricants according to chemical safety and engineering guidelines.

• Document production build sheets, quality logs, and traceability records accurately to maintain compliance with AS9100 standards.

• Identify and report any part defects, deviations, or non-conformances to the quality assurance team.
