Job Title: Social Worker - Cancer Center Support Services - Mount Sinai Chelsea - Full Time - Day
- Provide psychosocial services to patients and families in an outpatient cancer center at - The Blavatnik Family Chelsea Medical Center at Mount Sinai.
- Provide counseling, crisis intervention, concrete services, and ensuring access to services for patients with cancer.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and close collaboration with oncology social workers, including cross coverage.
- Participate in program development and implementation, research and quality improvement activities.
- May be asked to work at Mount Sinai downtown additional sites depending on needs of the department.
- Oncology social work experience required- minimum 1 year.
- Spanish speaking preferred.
- Excellent clinical, communication, collaborative, and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and creativity in adapting to rapidly changing patient and team needs.
- Masters in Social Work from an accredited school of social work. Knowledge of social work services, theories, techniques, community resources and agencies.
- New York State Licensure (LMSW or LCSW) from the New York State Department of Education. Oncology experience or health care experience in a medical setting preferred.

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $44.33 - $51.73 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
