Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Neonatology
Description
This on-site contract position offers a unique opportunity to work with a passionate team committed to providing exceptional neonatal care.
As a Locum MD in Neonatology, you will play a critical role in the management and treatment of newborns requiring specialized medical attention. Your expertise will directly impact the health and development of infants in our care. Collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, you will ensure the highest standards of patient care in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatology services to critically ill newborns
- Conduct thorough assessments and diagnoses for neonatal patients
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
- Monitor patient conditions and adjust treatments as necessary
- Participate in discussions and rounds with the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate medical records and comply with healthcare regulations
- Provide guidance and support to family members of patients
Requirements
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Current board certification in Pediatrics with a Neonatology subspecialty
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a clinical setting, ideally neonatology
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and outcomes
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of operation
Schedule: Schedule: 7:30a-5:30p or 5:30p-7:30a
68-bed Level IV NICU
Daily Volume: 15 patients
Preferred Procedures: ECMO
Support Staff: 3 APPs and 1 neonatal fellow
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Level IV and Level III experience required
