Executive Chef
The Executive Chef supervises and coordinates culinary production in our high-volume, open kitchen environment. This role reports to the Corporate Chef, and manages kitchen staff to ensure consistent quality and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and coordinate all culinary operations spanning kitchen and storage areas, ensuring seamless food preparation from start to finish
- Drive menu development and take an active, hands-on role in daily food production
- Mentor and collaborate with the culinary team to uphold the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and kitchen safety
- Inspire, lead, and professionally develop kitchen staff to deliver consistent, exceptional results
- Support scheduling, administrative functions, and broader operational needs as they arise
- Oversee food requisitions and enforce disciplined portion control practices
- Serve as a key liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house team, communicating menu updates, daily specials, and inventory status
- Contribute wherever needed to keep kitchen operations running at peak performance
Qualifications
- 6+ years of professional culinary experience, including a minimum of 4 years in a supervisory or leadership capacity
- Proven ability to lead a team and communicate with clarity and confidence
- Prior experience in Italian or American cuisine preferred
- Expert knife skills and advanced proficiency with a full range of kitchen tools and techniques
- Comfortable navigating computer systems and kitchen management software
- Culinary degree or equivalent formal training preferred
Requirements
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and sustain physical mobility throughout shifts of 8+ hours
- Demonstrated experience operating commercial kitchen equipment including mixers, ovens, and specialized culinary tools
