Tax Manger (HNW/ Estates & Trusts) - Richmond, VA (Work from Home Possible)
Our client is a 150 staff CPA firm in the city of Richmond, VA. They have a heavy focus on working with high net worth individuals and their privately held companies and pride themselves on offering their clients high level advisory services and a bespoke approach at all times.
Due to recent growth in their Family, Executive, & Entrepreneur Advisory group, they are seeking a dynamic and client service-oriented individual to join their practice as a Tax Manager specializing in high net worth individuals. Qualified candidates will also have experience with trust and/or estate tax matters.
You will serve as liaison among senior managers, partners, clients, and staff. Handle all phases of tax engagements for high net worth individuals. You will possess strong technical skills in accounting and tax preparation (individual taxation, multi-state taxation, trust and/or estate)
You will have a working knowledge of US Tax Code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance. Serve as the main point of contact for multiple clients and directly handle tax-related communication with clients' attorneys, brokers, or other third parties.
You will participate in the development of staff through one-on-one teachable moments and offering feedback on a regular basis; also seek feedback from others.
To be considered for this opportunity you will hold an active CPA license, at least five years of experience in public accounting, tax consulting, or other related experience. You will need to have an ability to develop relationships with current and potential clients.
This role comes with the option to work from home for the majority of time although at least 5 trips a year will need to be made to Richamond, VA to meet with clients, colleagues and training.
