Psychologist - Full time

Immediate position available for a full-time clinical, rehabilitation or neuropsychologist at Park Terrace Care Center in Queens, NY. Our subacute inpatient brain injury rehabilitation program is certified by the NYS Department of Health and is part of the NY Traumatic Brain Injury Model Systems at both the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and Rusk Rehabilitation. Residents admitted into this unique, intensive program are adults aged 16 and over with a range of acquired brain injuries such as TBI, stroke, brain tumors, encephalitis, and anoxic brain damage. Length of stay typically ranges from 3 months to a year, and the majority of our residents return to living in the community upon completion of their rehabilitation program.

The Psychologist will function as part of a highly skilled interdisciplinary care team that works closely together to assist residents in achieving their maximum functional potential. The psychologist will provide a full range of neuropsychological and psychological evaluations, assessment and diagnostic services. Additional responsibilities include behavior management planning, providing psychotherapeutic support and evidence based cognitive rehabilitation, as well as consulting with families, other rehab disciplines, the medical team and physicians.

Candidate must have a Doctorate in Psychology and a NY state license, or be license eligible. Experience in psychological and neuropsychological assessment and report writing is required. A background in brain injury, rehabilitation and/or cognitive rehabilitation is desirable. We offer a competitive comprehensive benefits package.
