Dispensary Manager

As Dispensary Manager, you'll lead a passionate retail team in delivering an exceptional, welcoming customer experience while upholding strict compliance and operational excellence.This role blends people leadership, retail operations, and community engagement: you'll hire, train, and coach knowledgeable staff; manage inventory, cash handling, and POS systems; ensure state and local regulatory compliance; drive sales and local marketing initiatives; and maintain the store's safety, culture, and financial performance. Salary

$25 - $30 USD per hour

Required Skills

- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Minimum 2-3 years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in cannabis or another highly regulated retail sector.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, coach, and retain high-performing retail teams.
- Strong knowledge of New York cannabis laws, compliance requirements, and recordkeeping (or ability to rapidly become compliant).
- Experience with inventory control, cash reconciliation, and loss prevention best practices.
- Proficiency with POS systems and inventory tracking software; ability to learn seed-to-sale systems (e.g., METRC).
- Solid financial acumen: experience managing store P&L, budgeting, and sales forecasting.
- Excellent customer service and conflict-resolution skills.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to pass background checks and maintain any state-required licensing/clearances.
- Comfortable working flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.

Desired Skills

- Prior dispensary management experience in New York State or another regulated market and strong knowlwdge of OCM complaince practices.
- Experience with METRC seed-to-sale/POS platforms.
- Background in community outreach, local partnerships, or mission-driven programs (especially justice-impacted initiatives).
- Bilingual skills (Spanish AND Creole preferred) to better serve Brooklyn's diverse community.
- Experience with merchandising, local marketing, and in-store event programming.
- Strong vendor management skills
- HR experience including scheduling, performance management, and labor compliance.
