Title: Cleaner with Light Maintenance and Repair
Position Type: Full-Time (SundayThursday 6:00 AM 3:00 PM)
Schedule: 40-hour work week

Overview:
Hope For Youth is seeking a dedicated and dependable individual to join our Facilities team. The Cleaner with Light Maintenance and Repair responsibilities include daily and deep cleaning tasks across multiple sites along with supporting light maintenance work. The ideal candidate is reliable self-motivated and able to follow directions to maintain safe clean and welcoming environments.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Perform daily and deep cleaning of bathrooms kitchens/break rooms common areas and windows.

• Dry/wet mopping vacuuming and surface sanitizing.

• Light maintenance and repairs such as painting gutter cleaning minor plumbing (e.g. unclogging toilets) and outdoor groundskeeping.

• Assist the maintenance team with special projects and facility needs.

• Respond promptly to work orders and emergency cleaning needs.

• Maintain accurate documentation of tasks and follow cleaning schedules.

• Follow all safety protocols including OSHA regulations.

Success in this role requires:

• Ability to work independently across multiple locations.

• Willingness to adjust schedule for emergencies or special needs (e.g. snow removal urgent repairs).

• Adherence to agency policies procedures and applicable regulations.

Time Allocation:

• 90% : Cleaning maintenance repair and documentation

• 10% : Supervision training and meetings

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent

• Flexible availability and ability to respond to emergencies

• Physical ability to perform duties including lifting using equipment/tools prolonged standing/walking bending stooping climbing stairs/ladders and driving

• Valid NYS Drivers License in good standing
