Our newest location on Madison Avenue will open soon, and we are building the team that will make it legendary.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Line Cook to join our New York City team. This is a hands-on kitchen role for someone who takes pride in quality, consistency, pace, and clean execution.

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing, cooking, and plating menu items according to company recipes, quality standards, and service expectations. This role focuses on station setup, ticket execution, food quality, cleanliness, communication, and safe food handling in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

This role is ideal for someone who is dependable, organized, comfortable working with urgency, and excited to help build a strong opening team from the start.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and plate menu items according to recipes, portioning, and presentation standards

• Set up, stock, maintain, and break down assigned stations

• Execute tickets accurately and efficiently during service

• Follow allergy, modification, and special request procedures

• Maintain company standards for food quality, temperature, portion control, and presentation

• Complete assigned prep and production tasks based on prep lists, par levels, and service needs

• Label, date, store, and rotate food properly

• Follow FIFO standards and help reduce waste

• Keep stations, equipment, prep areas, refrigerators, and storage areas clean and organized

• Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen awareness, HACCP, and workplace safety standards

• Communicate shortages, quality concerns, service issues, equipment concerns, or safety issues to the chef or manager on duty

• Work cooperatively with chefs, managers, and team members to support smooth kitchen operations

• Other areas as required by the unique nature of the restaurant and the position

Requirements

• Previous line cook or kitchen experience required

• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, kitchen flow, and station setup

• Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and company standards

• Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment

• Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills

• Flexible availability, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Food handler certification required

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• Breakfast, brunch, or high-volume restaurant experience preferred

• Experience supporting new restaurant openings preferred

• Experience working in a fast-paced hospitality-driven restaurant environment preferred
