Tapestry Analyst, Green Trade Compliance
- Provide classification and duty advisement across all product categories, including finished goods, raw materials, packaging, and other imports. Ensure classification data and supporting requirements are accurately maintained, through collaboration with Product Development and other business partners.
- Advise cross-functional teams on country-of-origin marking, customs valuation, assists, Free Trade Agreement eligibility and validation, import restrictions, regulatory requirements, and other global trade compliance matters.
- Build strong partnerships and maintain regular communication with Legal, ESG, Product Compliance, Product Development, Design, Copy, Merchandising, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders.
- Review and advise on sample, development, and commercial product shipments to ensure compliance with customs regulations and company processes.
- Support Coach (Re)Loved take-back programs, international pop-up initiatives, and other circularity programs by providing guidance on tariff classification, import and export regulations, labeling requirements, product and material testing considerations, customs documentation, and general compliance requirements.
- Partner with Marketing and Copy partners to initiate and manage Coachtopia's sustainability claims substantiation process, ensuring product claims are supported by appropriate documentation in accordance with global regulatory standards.
- Support Green Trade initiatives, through internal audits, compliance reviews, and reporting initiatives, including sustainability claims reviews, supplier compliance assessments, scrap material valuation analysis, savings reports, and more.
- Monitor emerging trade, customs, and sustainability regulations, identifying potential compliance risks and opportunities to support business growth and innovation.
- 1+ years of experience in customs, international trade, supply chain, sustainability, or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Trade, Sustainability, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
- Working knowledge of customs and trade regulations, with the ability to research, interpret, and apply complex government requirements in a business environment.
- Experience with trade management systems and compliance tools, such as ACE, Integration Point, or similar platforms.
- Passion for international trade, sustainability, and circular business models, with a strong interest in supporting innovative solutions in a rapidly evolving regulatory landscape.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset that balances compliance requirements with business innovation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to translate complex trade, customs, and sustainability concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including strong Excel skills
