Associate Consultant, Architecture

WSP USA Inc.Job Title: Associate Consultant, ArchitectureLocation: 1 Penn Plaza, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10119Duties: Under supervision of a registered architect, assist with the preparation of detailed architectural drawings and specifications, including renderings and presentation boards. Assist with collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, existing condition surveys, blueprints, historical use, and other matrices for project development, design, and construction. Perform basic professional architectural work relating to conducting research and inspections of proposed and existing site conditions, resources, building, infrastructure, and transportation channels to determine conformance with applicable rules, standards, and construction or operating permits. Assist with the input of building technologies, concepts, modeling techniques, design requirements, and operating strategies to account for the safety and functionality of occupants and end-users and incorporating future-ready solutions with architectural design standards. Assist with preparing complete and accurate visualizations using software, technical drawings, software, and 2D/3D illustrations. Assist technical staff and project managers by offering input and analysis with design concepts. Work with cross-functional teams in executing project work. Complete training on assigned tasks. Work collaboratively with other architects, engineers, professionals, and building authorities on Federal, State, regional, and local projects. Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures. Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. Salary $80,017.60. Standard corporate benefits. Requirements: Bachelors degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Architectural Design, or related plus 1 year of experience as an Architect, Architectural Designer, or related. Experience must include: Producing architecture diagrams, drawings, and renderings. Creating construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD. Collaborating with project teams to ensure design integrity. Developing 3D models and interior design renderings for presentations using SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Suite.
