About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with GSK SOLUTIONS INC to find a qualified RNFA RN in Watertown, New York, 13602!

The Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA) / Surgical First Assistant (SFA) provides direct intraoperative support to surgeons, ensuring safe and effective surgical procedures. This role involves assisting with exposure, hemostasis, suturing, and other technical surgical tasks, while also supporting preoperative preparation and postoperative care. 

Note: It is Permanent/ Full time position

Requirements

Education:

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field
• Completion of an accredited Surgical First Assistant program

Licensure / Certification (one required):

• Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant (CRNFA)
• OR Physician Assistant (NCCPA)
• OR Nurse Practitioner (NCCNP with surgical certification)

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of surgical experience
• Scrub experience preferred
