Job Summary
The Medical Assistant supports clinical and administrative functions in a healthcare setting. This role involves assisting providers with patient care, performing routine clinical tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day office operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers during visits.
- Take and record vital signs and patient information.
- Perform basic clinical procedures as directed.
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health systems.
- Assist with scheduling, front desk duties, and general administrative support.
- Ensure exam rooms are clean, stocked, and prepared.
- Follow all safety, infection control, and confidentiality protocols.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Day shift, Monday through Friday
- Standard 8-hour shifts
- Outpatient clinical setting
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of a formal Medical Assistant training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Ability to communicate fluently in Mandarin and English
Preferred Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification such as:
- CMA from American Association of Medical Assistants
- RMA from American Medical Technologists
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant
