Sanitation Worker

Full Time, every other weekend off
1st and 2nd Shift

Job Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Sanitation Worker to join an industry leading manufacturing facility. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain cleanliness and ensure proper sanitation throughout the factory. This includes cleaning production equipment, workstations, floors, and other areas in compliance with health, safety, and quality standards. This role is essential to ensuring that our production processes meet the highest cleanliness and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities :

• Cleaning and Sanitizing : Perform cleaning tasks on production equipment, machinery, storage areas, and floors to maintain sanitation standards. Follow strict cleaning schedules and ensure all areas are free of contaminants.
• Chemical Usage : Safely use cleaning chemicals and sanitizers as per the manufacturer's instructions. Follow all safety procedures for handling chemicals.
• Maintenance of Hygiene Standards : Ensure the cleanliness of employee restrooms, break rooms, and common areas in the facility.
• Compliance with Regulations : Adhere to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all sanitation activities. Maintain cleanliness in accordance with FDA, USDA, and local health regulations.
• Waste Disposal : Properly dispose of trash, recyclables, and other waste in accordance with factory protocols. Ensure waste is segregated correctly.
• Reporting Issues : Report any issues with equipment or cleaning procedures to supervisors. Inform management of any safety concerns or areas that need attention.
• Inventory Management : Assist in managing sanitation supplies and request necessary cleaning materials as needed.
• Team Collaboration : Work closely with production staff to ensure the environment is kept clean and safe for operations.

Qualifications :

• Experience : Prior experience in sanitation, janitorial work, or food production is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
• Knowledge of Sanitation Procedures : Familiarity with sanitation equipment, cleaning chemicals, and safety protocols, particularly in food production settings, is preferred.
• Attention to Detail : Ability to thoroughly clean all areas, identifying and addressing potential contamination risks.
• Physical Stamina : Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Safety-Conscious : Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a strong commitment to following safe work practices.
• Communication Skills : Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Working Conditions :

• Work in a fast-paced environment with varying temperatures based on production areas.
• Protective equipment such as gloves, aprons, goggles, and masks may be required.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
