The Atria Health Institute is a membership-based primary and specialty health care practice with a focus on prevention and longevity. We bring together a multidisciplinary team of renowned physicians to provide proactive, preventive, and precision-based care for Atria members and their families. All care, including primary care, advanced screening and diagnostics, urgent care, specialty care, 24/7 home visits, and imaging is included in members’ annual fee.
Our mission is to make healthspan and lifespan equal for all by translating science into medicine in real-time, all while bringing humanity back into health care. Delivering such robust, personalized, and preventive health care is complex and requires a team-wide dedication to excellence.
Atria successfully opened our flagship Institute in New York in 2022, expanded to South Florida in 2024, and will be bringing the Atria experience to the West Coast with the launch of our Los Angeles Institute in late spring 2026.
About This Role:
As our first dedicated Benefits Manager, you will have the opportunity to define and shape this function from the ground up, creating programs that truly elevate the employee experience and establish benefits as a strategic pillar of Atria. You will join our flagship NYC team to design, implement, and manage benefits that are clear, accessible, and meaningful at every stage of the employee journey. Our ideal candidate doesn’t just manage enrollments and answer questions—they bring clarity, confidence, and trust to every interaction, making benefits a source of security and peace of mind for our team.

What You’ll Do:
- Be the friendly, warm, informative and highly responsive face for all benefits matters for all Atria employees, including claims, coverage and leaves questions, life events, plan changes, etc.
- Be the first point of contact for all new hires as it relates to all benefits matter, including conducting a benefits orientation or having conversations with potential senior employees as part of the recruiting process
- Strategize plan designs and changes across all US benefits in partnership with senior leadership
- Manage Open Enrollment planning including drafting company communications in partnership with the Content team, updating benefit guides, and anticipating and responding to employee questions
- Process all benefit bills, including thinking about any ways to create efficiencies in doing so
- Manage leave of absence policies and process and track ACA compliance requirements as needed
- Manage Atria’s Wellness Benefit programs, while always evaluating opportunities to find the benefits that matter most to employees
- Provide substantive and thoughtful reporting on benefits usage to senior leadership
- Draft company-wide benefit communications and updates as applicable to employee population(s)
- Create contribution scenarios and other cost-saving scenarios in the renewal processes for fully insured medical, dental, vision, life/disability, commuter/FSA, and other additional benefit offerings
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and HR to continue to elevate and create efficiencies in the end-to-end employee lifecycle (recruiting, onboarding, development, performance, exit)
- Map “moments that matter” (offer, first 90 days, parental or other leave)
- Be a part of how we translate our core values into observable behaviors
- Partner with Talent Acquisition to embed values into hiring, performance reviews and recognition
- Lead listening tours, focus group and pulse surveys
- Pioneer and roll out ad-hoc enterprise wide-projects such as build recognition and mentorship programs
Compensation:
$130,000 - $150.,000
Requirements
- 4-6 years of experience in benefits administration
- Preference for experience in health and benefits consulting firm or in-house HR team
- Experience working with a HRIS system such as Rippling
- Understanding of health and welfare plans, disability, FMLA and Federal and State Leave laws
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail in writing and editing documents and managing confidential and sensitive data and information
- Highly proficient in Excel or Sheets and any similar tools that track, manage, analyze and share data
- Personal accountability and strong work ethic
- Self-starter with a willingness to learn and to apply knowledge in a fast-paced work environmentAbility to communicate and work well with broad range of employees
- Ability to develop relationships and build credibility with different stakeholders across Atria
- Led employee experience and managed programs that increased employee satisfaction and retention by improving workplace culture and communication
- Experience owning and optimizing onboarding, training, and recognition programs, enhancing overall employee experience and performance
