2026 Stinson LLP 1L Equity Fellowship New York
Over the years Stinson has provided more than one million dollars in scholarships that have supported nearly 70 scholars. We are proud to offer the Stinson LLP 1L Equity Fellowship which provides substantial tuition and expense assistance a dedicated attorney mentor and a paid Summer Associate position. Students from any U.S. ABA-accredited law school are welcome to apply.
Fellowship Benefits
- 1L Summer Associate paid position at Stinson LLP (see Stinsons Law Students page for more details about the Summer Program: in law school tuition and expense assistance following successful completion of the 1L summer associate program and the Fellows acceptance of a 2L Summer Associate position
- Additional $15000 in law school tuition and expense assistance after successful completion of the 2L Summer Associate program and the Fellows acceptance of a full-time associate position
- Assigned firm mentor
Stinsons Summer Associate salary is $3653 per week. Summer Associates are not eligible for benefits as this is a temporary position. Stinson hires 1L Summer Associates with the hope that after the successful completion of their 1L summer they will re-join us for their following 2L summer.
Qualifications:
- 1L student attending an ABA-accredited law school
- Demonstrated commitment to advancing diversity equity and inclusion
- Strong academic record as an undergraduate graduate (if applicable) and law school student
- Effective legal writing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding interpersonal skills
- Community involvement
- Work experience
- Interest in areas of the law that match the firms practice areas
- Commitment to practicing law in the firms location(s) in which the candidate is seeking a Summer Associate position (available in Kansas City MO Minneapolis MN New York NY St. Louis MO and Washington D.C.)
