Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate Med Surg care to adult inpatient units, including assessment, monitoring, and documentation.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform wound care and other routine procedures per physician orders.
- Monitor patient status, recognize changes, and escalate concerns following established protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing team, physicians, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, comfort, and patient/family education throughout the shift.
- Maintain accurate, timely charting and adherence to hospital policies and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg experience
- At least 1 year of travel nursing experience preferred, with renewals preferred
- Ability to work 3x12 Night shifts in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting
- No block scheduling; local travelers within 50 miles may be considered with a bill-rate adjustment
