Travel Registered Nurse First Assist Job

TLC Nursing Associates, Inc. is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse First Assist (RNFA) to provide direct surgical assistance to surgeons during operative procedures. This role is ideal for RNs with perioperative experience and advanced surgical skills.
Responsibilities
- Assist the surgeon during procedures by handling instruments, controlling bleeding, and providing wound exposure
- Prepare and position patients for surgery, ensuring optimal safety and comfort
- Perform preoperative and postoperative patient assessments and care
- Apply sutures, dress wounds, and assist with tissue manipulation as directed by the surgeon
- Monitor patients' vital signs and responses during surgery
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a sterile and efficient operating environment
- Maintain accurate documentation of procedures, interventions, and patient outcomes
- Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in applicable state(s)
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assist ( CRNFA ) or completion of an accredited RNFA program
- Minimum 2-3 years of perioperative nursing experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and operating room protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
