The New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC) VISTA program works to place and support AmeriCorps VISTAs at New York nonprofit organizations, for the purpose of building organizational capacity to provide low-income immigrant communities with diverse anti-poverty services.

Member Duties : VISTA PLACEMENT: RaisingHealth Partners, MISSION: RaisingHealth Partners is a non-profit organization that provides basic financial education to Hispanic individuals and their families, in order to foster their financial security and improve their standard of living. VISTA ACTIVITIES: The NYIC VISTA, Fundraising, placed at RaisingHealth Partners will work on fundraising (e.g., events, donor management system implementation) projects in support of the organization's direct services/programmatic work. SERVICE LOCATION: 5306 3rd Ave, 2nd Floor, Brooklyn, NY 11220. LIVING ALLOWANCE: $32,262 Learning Objectives: Grant writing and researching Creating and leading fundraising campaigns Donor/funder/sponsor relationship management and cultivation Fundraising strategy Marketing, especially for fundraising purposes Social media and website management and strategy Event planning Public health concepts Communication in a professional environment
