Position Overview V Magazine is seeking a highly creative, trend-savvy, and strategically minded Social Media Manager to lead and expand our digital presence across key social platforms. This role will oversee day-to-day social operations, audience growth, platform strategy, content planning, and performance analytics while ensuring V’s voice remains bold, culturally relevant, and visually distinctive.
The ideal candidate has deep knowledge of fashion, pop culture, celebrity media, digital publishing, and V Magazine’s editorial legacy, with proven experience growing social audiences and driving engagement for a premium editorial or luxury brand.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, YouTube, and emerging platforms
- Manage V Magazine’s daily social calendar, including editorial promotion, breaking news, cover launches, video content, partnerships, and branded campaigns
- Collaborate closely with editorial, design, video, and commercial teams to create innovative, platform-native content
- Lead audience growth initiatives through data-backed experimentation, trend forecasting, and optimization
- Write compelling social copy aligned with V’s editorial tone, fashion authority, and luxury positioning
- Monitor social analytics and KPIs, delivering regular performance reports with actionable insights
- Stay ahead of industry trends, platform updates, algorithm shifts, competitor strategies, and key movements within fashion and culture
- Oversee community management and audience engagement while maintaining brand integrity
- Coordinate social support for major events, including fashion weeks, red carpets, cover launches, and special projects
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with creators, influencers, and brands when relevant
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of social media management experience, preferably in fashion, media, publishing, or luxury sectors
- Strong understanding of platform strategy, audience behavior, and performance metrics
- Exceptional copywriting and editorial instincts
- Extensive knowledge of V Magazine, its voice, audience, and place within fashion media
- Strong understanding of fashion history, designers, industry movements, and contemporary cultural conversations
- Experience with scheduling, analytics, and social management tools
- Proven ability to create visually compelling, culturally relevant, and brand-elevating content
- Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced editorial environment
- Experience supporting or managing premium brand voices preferred
- Basic graphic design, video editing, or creative direction experience is a plus
