CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 (New York healthcare jobs)
• Facility: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center
• Position Type: Locum Tenens (Travel Contract)
• Assignment Length: 17 weeks (September 29, 2025 – January 24, 2026)
• Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 11:00am – 11:30pm (12-hour shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• On-call & Callback: As required by unit
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2700–$2770

CT Technologist Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Active New York State CT Technologist license (or ability to obtain before start)
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center strongly preferred
• BLS certification (American Heart Association required)
• Proficiency with Siemens and Philips CT scanners preferred
• Epic EMR experience highly desirable
• Injection certification preferred (or willingness to complete during orientation)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach
• Team-oriented with excellent collaboration skills

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and confirm exam orders before performing CT scans
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality diagnostic imaging
• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
• Insert IVs as needed for imaging studies
• Assist patients with limited mobility during scans
• Maintain accurate patient records in Epic EMR and ensure timely image transfer to PACS
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards in the CT suite
• Participate in on-call and callback rotations as assigned
