Catering Sales
We are seeking a results-driven Catering Sales Representative to grow our corporate catering and private event business. This role focuses on building relationships with local companies, offices, and event planners, generating qualified leads, and introducing our restaurant as a preferred catering partner.
This is a high-commission, low-base role ideal for someone with strong connections and a proactive sales mindset.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and reach out to corporate clients, offices, and event planners for catering opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with office managers, executive assistants, HR teams, and event coordinators
- Generate qualified leads and introduce catering services (menus, pricing, capabilities)
- Schedule tastings, meetings, or calls between clients and the restaurant team
- Maintain a pipeline of prospects and follow up regularly
- Track outreach, leads, and conversions in a simple CRM or spreadsheet
- Represent the brand professionally in networking events or local business communities
- Primary focus: Lead generation & relationship building
- Not required: Finalizing menus, pricing negotiation, or event execution (handled by internal team)
- Goal: Bring in high-quality catering inquiries that convert into orders
- Base Salary: $55,000 to $60,000 (negotiable)
- Commission: ~5% of confirmed catering revenue
- Performance-based incentives for hitting monthly/quarterly targets
- Prior experience in sales, catering, hospitality, or B2B sales preferred
- Strong local network (NYC corporate connections is a big plus)
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Organized and able to manage multiple leads
- Has existing relationships with offices, coworking spaces, or corporate clients
- Comfortable doing cold outreach + warm networking
- Entrepreneurial mindset—motivated by commission and results
- Understands how to position a restaurant for corporate lunches, team events, and client entertainment
