Senior Accountant
A Kforce client is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant in Hauppauge, New York (NY). Summary: The Senior Accountant will maintain close contact with clients in assisting with all audits, accounting, bookkeeping (via QuickBooks), and tax functions. As a Senior Accountant, you will report to partners and provide guidance to staff members. There is a lot of growth potential with very competitive compensation and nice offices and team culture. This job requires a car and is not a remote position.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- CPA certification is a plus
- 3+ years of public accounting experience
- Solid audit with some tax compliance and QuickBooks of experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Able to prepare and analyze books and records, payroll/sales tax preparation of various tax returns: Individual, Partnership, Corporate, S-Corp, Estates and Trusts, Not for Profit, multi-state returns are a plus
