Job Purpose:

The PR Coordinator will be responsible for supporting with communications and publicity to drive awareness for Original series premieres and other BritBox initiatives.

As part of a relatively small but growing team it will be important for the incoming person to be an ambitious, collaborative, and proactive team member who is eager to take on new projects and tasks as needed. They should be a resourceful problem-solver and take initiative on any and all projects.

  • Executing events and supporting talent relations will also require occasional overtime and weekend hours
  • Demonstrates a keen awareness in social media trends, pop culture moments and emerging digital platforms and outlets to inform innovative and relevant PR strategies

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree – Graduate Degree a plus
  • Preferably experience in publicity, communications, events or talent relations for a streamer or TV/Film studio
  • Understanding of media landscape, industry trends, and pop culture

Responsibilities

Administrative

  • Create and maintain department reports
  • Maintain departmental calendar
  • Create, update and maintain content contact sheets and press lists
  • Execute and own purchase ordering process through SAP Concur from vendor set up through to payment
  • Schedule meetings & book conference rooms
  • Process expense reports
  • Spearhead weekly team and agency meeting agendas including taking notes and sending meeting recaps and action items
  • Support in maintaining departmental budget

Media Relations & Communications

  • Track and update changes for consumer, entertainment, and trade press lists
  • Distribute requests from press outlets to proper team or agency member
  • Create and distribute screener letters
  • Track, store and distribute key assets - trailer, key art, episodic images etc.
  • Draft and edit PR materials such as press releases, media alerts, monthly listings, and pitches
  • Maintain and update BritBox media hub with available assets to press
  • Participate in brainstorming and creative meetings
  • Assist with relevant research for upcoming projects
  • Show a strong interest in national press, media and industry trends and regularly consume them across various platforms

Talent Relations and Events

  • Create and maintain talent schedules
  • Arrange all travel and grooming needs for talent, including negotiating rates with groomers (hair/make-up) and stylists under direction of supervisor
  • Work special events – premieres, press junkets, screenings as needed
  • Work on press/talent mailers and gifting as needed
  • Greet clients, talent, creative staff & executives and acts as talent liaison at special events
  • Check-in press at screenings/special events. Compile attendance lists & reactions to circulate internally and externally


Salary Range:
$60-65K base salary + competitive benefits + bonus potential

Please note that the salary range is intended to give as an indicator of the salaries that could be attributed to the breadth or experience for a given role. All candidates will be measured based on their level of experience.
