• Unit: Progressive Care Unit (Intermediate Care Unit/Stepdown from ICU)
• Shift: 4x12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/16/2025, End: 12/16/2025)
• Weekly Hours: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,870 - $1,920
• Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
• Unit Size: 26 beds
• Charting System: Epic EMR
• Weekend Requirement: Every weekend
• Floating: May float to ICU or Medical-Surgical units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Minimum 1 year recent experience in PCU, Stepdown, or Intermediate Care Unit
• Proficiency with Epic charting system
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• Willingness to float to ICU or Med-Surg units
• Must reside at least 75 miles from Rochester, NY facility (no local candidates)

RN Responsibilities – Progressive Care Unit

• Provide evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric patients requiring intermediate-level monitoring
• Monitor patients using pulse-oximetry and telemetry systems
• Manage airway support, including BIPAP, arterial lines, central lines, and titrated IV infusions
• Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; participate in Rapid Response Teams
• Administer blood products and maintain isolation precautions
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams (IV, PT, RT, pharmacy, social services)
• Float to ICU or medical-surgical units as needed
