Special Education Teacher

*Up to $5000 in sign-on bonuses available- Earn $2,500 after 6 months of full-time employment and an additional $2,500 after 9 months of full-time employment.

Prime Time for Kids, located in New City, NY, is seeking caring and dedicated professionals to educate students in a small special education preschool for children with disabilities.

Responsibilities include preparing daily lessons, creating, and implementing learning centers, selecting, and monitoring individualized goals and objectives for each student, communicating with parents, and supervising teaching assistants/aides. Special Education Teachers must be compassionate, dedicated, organized, and adaptable professionals who are invested in the progress of their students and are able to collaborate with other professionals as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Minimum Experience:

• Experience teaching as mandated by New York State Education Department

Required Education:

• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Students with Disabilities, or Special Education

Required Certification/Registration:

• Completion of a NYS Registered Program- Student with Disabilities (Birth- Grade 2)
