Event Production Support Technician

Scope
Responsibilities include the support of the daily operations for event production technologies including setup, operation, and maintenance of computer, communication, and presentation systems. Daily real-time support including troubleshooting of events-in-progress is a regular component of this position including supporting a variety of devices such as laptops and tablets. Sound, lighting, and projection are the main technical disciplines used along with advanced system setups. In addition to the technical skills required, the candidate for this role must possess superior customer service skills and the ability to effectively communicate with event organizers during live events to ensure overall client satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include:
Oversee, manage and serve as the main point of contact for live AV/IT meetings and events.
Interface, coordinate, and support event staff on standard operating procedures for AV/IT system operation.
Maintain system functionality for all event spaces prior to and throughout event productions.
Coordinate and collaborate with event-related service departments, event organizers and vendors.
Act as the first point of escalation for AV/IT issues found by Event Staff and escalate operational issues to the appropriate level of support.
Assist in the management and coordination of high-profile events.
Quick response to emergency/ad hoc requests.
Provide restorative and preventative maintenance of AV/IT Systems.
Publish and maintain technical training documentation.
Train end-users on AV/IT system operations.
Maintain inventory of event production technologies.
Assistant event staff with room set up as needed.
Skills Required:
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced event-driven environment and possess strong problem-solving skills while maintaining composure and professionalism.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously; time management skills are critical.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Associates' Degree
A minimum of 2 - 4 years' experience in technical event production.
Knowledge of concepts, best practices, and procedures in operating audio visual systems ( PA Systems and Wireless Microphones).
Technical knowledge of touch screen and web-based control technology for Crestron.
Proficiency in supporting Crestron systems.
2-4 years of supporting wireless audio systems for live event production.
PC and MAC device support.
Preferred Qualifications:
- CTS
Crestron Certifications
Windows or Mac Certifications
Unified Communications support experience
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50lbs
Special Requirements:
Salary: $53,000
