LIV Golf was designed to expand the sport on a global level, bring new audiences to the game, create new value within the golfing ecosystem, and enhance the game’s societal impact far beyond the course through the League’s Impact & Sustainability efforts. In 2022, LIV Golf launched The International Series , which features 10 elevated events in world-class destinations. Sanctioned by the Asian Tour, these events offer a pathway for leading professional and amateur golfers from around the world into the LIV Golf League and the Majors.

HISTORY

Founded in 2021 and officially launched in 2022 with the eight-event LIV Golf Invitational Series, 2025 was our third 14-event season as the LIV Golf League.

The format respects golf’s history and traditions with updates for modern-day sports fans; four days, 72 holes, no cut, shotgun start, and simultaneous Team and Individual competitions, offering a faster tournament that drives engaging storylines and offers an immersive fan experience. The League’s award-winning events, each wholly owned and operated by LIV Golf and broadcast to over 900 million homes across 200 international territories, showcase world-class competition happening at LIV Golf’s 14 global events. Music entertainment, food, live concerts, family-friendly activations and offer a festival-like atmosphere. A two-time winner of the World’s Best Golf Event from the World Golf Awards and a Sports Business Awards Finalist for Sports Event of the Year, our signature hospitality, inclusive atmosphere, quality food and beverage offerings, post-play concerts have helped LIV Golf have helped build record-breaking attendance at events worldwide.

LIV Golf continues to expand its reach by bringing the League to new and returning markets featuring some of the most iconic venues in the world. It has also introduced free agency to professional golf, integrating end-of-season player promotion and relegation, team trades and off-season roster movement that drive year-round fan engagement, embraced by many of the world’s most popular sports.

ROLE OBJECTIVE/THE TEAM

The Director, Content & Media Compliance will lead contractual and regulatory compliance across LIV Golf’s global media, content, talent, music, and gaming ecosystem. Based in New York and reporting directly to the Head of Content with a dotted line into Legal, this role ensures that all content and media-related partnerships are operationalized in full alignment with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.

This individual will build and oversee scalable compliance frameworks spanning media rights agreements, promotional value tracking, music licensing, talent rights, betting integrations, predictive markets, and gaming partnerships.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

Media & Broadcast Compliance

• Lead compliance oversight of domestic and international media rights agreements.

• Ensure fulfillment of marketing and promotional value commitments, including on-air promotion, digital amplification, and inventory delivery.

• Monitor program scheduling obligations, distribution windows, exclusivity terms, and content usage rights.

• Oversee reconciliation of partner deliverables and make-good execution.

• Develop executive-level compliance reporting for Content leadership.

Betting, Predictive Markets & Gaming Compliance

• Oversee compliance for all sports betting, predictive markets, fantasy, and gaming-related partnerships and integrations.

• Ensure broadcast, digital, and social activations comply with applicable gaming and advertising regulations across jurisdictions.

• Partner with Legal to interpret regulatory requirements related to gambling advertising, odds integrations, data usage, promotional disclosures, and responsible gaming standards.

• Establish governance frameworks for betting-related content, including on-air mentions, social promotion, influencer activations, and branded integrations.

• Support due diligence and compliance review for new gaming and predictive market partnerships.

Talent, Creator & Rights Compliance

• Oversee compliance of on-air broadcast talent agreements, including promotional commitments, exclusivity clauses, and usage rights.

• Ensure third-party content creators and production vendors adhere to contractual deliverables and rights restrictions.

• Track contract terms, renewals, and performance obligations to mitigate exposure risk.

Music & Content Rights Management

• Lead music clearance compliance across:

• LIV Golf social platforms

• Original long-form and short-form programming

• Team-level social and original content

• Ensure proper licensing, cue sheet management, and documentation standards are consistently met.

• Maintain centralized rights tracking systems across league and team properties.

Governance, Risk & Internal Controls

• Design and implement scalable compliance processes across Content and Media operations.

• Conduct periodic audits of broadcast output, digital content, and gaming integrations.

• Identify compliance gaps and proactively recommend mitigation strategies.

• Develop training and internal education initiatives to reinforce contractual and regulatory awareness across teams.

• Serve as the primary operational bridge between Content and Legal to translate contract language into executable workflows.

REQUIRED SKILLS/WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR FROM YOU

• 7+ years of experience in media compliance, sports/media law, broadcast operations, gaming compliance, or rights management.

• Direct experience with sports betting, gaming partnerships, or regulated promotional environments strongly preferred.

• Deep understanding of media rights agreements, promotional value tracking, and digital distribution frameworks.

• Knowledge of U.S. and international gaming advertising regulations preferred.

• Strong contract interpretation skills and risk management mindset.

• Experience building compliance frameworks within a high-growth or evolving sports/media organization.

• Excellent executive communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
