Location: New York, NY 10004

Shift Time: 9:00 AM-5:00 PM

Weekly Hours: 37.5

Job Type: Contract
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Possible Extension)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for Adult Care in a home care setting. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centered care, supporting individuals in their homes through assessment, treatment, and education while collaborating with the healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Provide direct bedside nursing care for pre- and post-surgical patients
• Administer medications and monitor for adverse reactions
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, catheter insertion, and dressing changes
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions, reporting any changes promptly
• Utilize and adjust medical equipment as needed
• Collaborate with healthcare teams for discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on care plans and post-treatment needs
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Adhere to nursing standards, infection control protocols, and best practices

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum two (2) years of Med/Surg experience (acute or post-acute setting)
• Recent clinical experience within the past year
• Strong skills in physical assessment and patient care
• Experience in medication administration, wound care, and IV therapy
• Knowledge of post-operative care and telemetry monitoring

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active New York State RN License
• AHA BLS Certification
• AHA ACLS (Prefer)
