Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 14 Weeks (With high possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Shift & Schedule: 3x12 Hour Shifts | 36 Hours/Week
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking RN - Labor & Delivery for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor and delivery
- Monitor maternal and fetal conditions and respond to changes in patient status
- Perform IV insertions, phlebotomy, and medication administration
- Assist physicians during labor, delivery, and emergency procedures
- Administer and monitor conscious sedation as required
- Educate patients and families on postpartum and newborn care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with infection control and patient safety standards
Requirements
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program required
- Active New York State RN License required
- NYSED Verification required
- AHA BLS Certification required
- AHA ACLS Certification required
- NRP Certification required
- Minimum 2 years of Maternal & Child nursing experience required
- Minimum 2 years of IV Insertion and Phlebotomy experience required
- Minimum 2 years of Conscious Sedation experience required
