  • 10-hour shift: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • 12-hour shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
• Call: No in-house call; no weeknight/weekend pager call
• Overtime: Not expected, but may be offered
• Privileging: Estimated 60-90 days (temporary privileges may be available)
• Charting/EMR: Epic
• Clinical Environment: 30 anesthesia rooms; MD supervision model; CRNA:MD ratio typically 1:3 to 1:4 (varies by day)
• Case Mix: General, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics

CRNA Job Requirements (Travel / Locums)

• Education: Graduation from an accredited nurse anesthesia program
• Licensure: Current RN license; candidates willing to obtain New York licensure are welcome
• Certification: Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Life Support: BLS required
• Schedule Commitment: Ability to work the full scheduled shift duration (excluding unpaid lunch break)

Key Responsibilities (Anesthesia Provider)

• Perform comprehensive pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans
• Obtain and/or verify patient consent and discuss anesthetic options, benefits, and risks
• Provide anesthesia induction, maintenance, and emergence for assigned surgical cases
• Continuously monitor and document patient physiological status throughout the perioperative period
• Perform clinical interventions as needed to support patient safety and optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and perioperative teams to support efficient OR flow
• Document care accurately in Epic and follow site policies, protocols, and quality standards
