Station Ambassador Location: JFK Hourly Rate: $26.32
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and bring your customer service expertise to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You'll report to the Station Operations Supervisor and work alongside dedicated, proactive, and customer-focused teammates.
You'll be the face of the AirTrain experience, ensuring passengers enjoy a seamless, safe, and welcoming journey. Day-to-day, you'll work closely with operations, maintenance, and special events teams, manage crowd flow, and provide accurate travel information to passengers.
You'll specifically take care of wayfinding assistance, fare support, and customer engagementbut also play a key role in emergency response and service recovery.
We'll look to you for:

- Providing accurate information on schedules, fares, and transfer options to connect passengers to the MTA and other transit systems.
- Ensuring smooth boarding processes, assisting with luggage, and managing crowd control.
- Monitoring station activity and proactively addressing service disruptions or passenger concerns.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure safe and efficient station operations.
- Performing fare collection support activities and maintaining accurate documentation.

- High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
- Experience in customer service, hospitality, or front desk roles
- Rail transportation experience is a plus
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure
- Physically fit and able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and navigate train platforms safely
