Job Title - Senior Accountant
Salary- 75,000-80,000
Location - NYC - Hybrid schedule
Job Description:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years of relevant experience, preferably in nonprofit accounting. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. Experience with Yardi is required, including ability to review reconciliations and support staff use. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Experience developing internal policies and procedures preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close and financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, financial statements, and account reconciliations.
- Review rent rolls, receivables, and related records for accuracy.
- Maintain records for deposits, payments, and reserve accounts.
- Assist with monthly and year-end close processes.
- Support audits and prepare required financial and compliance reports.
- Review and track lease agreements and obligations.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial analysis.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
