Tier-II IT Support Technician (Onsite – NYC)

Location: New York, NY (Onsite – Financial District / Midtown coverage) Company: NCIC IT – Managed Services Provider

About the Role

NCIC IT is seeking an experienced Tier-II IT Support Technician to provide onsite technical support to our NYC-based financial services clients. This role requires strong troubleshooting skills, professionalism, and the ability to operate independently in high-visibility executive environments.

This is a client-facing position. The ideal candidate is technically strong, calm under pressure, and able to escalate appropriately when needed.

Responsibilities

· Provide onsite desktop and user support (Windows 10/11, M365, AD)

· Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer, and network issues

· Support conference rooms, AV systems, and Zoom/Teams setups

· Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals

· Manage user onboarding/offboarding (AD, M365, permissions)

· Assist with firewall, VPN, and basic network troubleshooting

· Document all service activities in ticketing system

· Escalate complex issues to Tier-III engineers when necessary

Required Qualifications

· 5+ years IT support experience (Tier-II level)

· Strong knowledge of:

o Active Directory (user accounts, GPO, permissions)

o Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)

o Windows 10/11 troubleshooting

o Basic networking (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP)

· Experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) environment preferred

· Professional demeanor working with executives

· Strong communication skills

· Ability to work independently onsite

Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in financial services environment

· Knowledge of security best practices (MFA, EDR, BitLocker)

· Familiarity with SonicWall, Meraki, or similar firewalls

· Certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft, etc.)
